Girard police applaud helpful football players
GIRARD — City police officers applauded three football players who came to the aid of a woman who fell while trying to keep hold of a large dog.
Girard High School football players Tyler Maddox, DeShawn Williams and Deane DeCiancio ran to the woman “without hesitation” to make sure she was OK, according to police.
Police are commending them for their selflessness, courage and willingness to act.
