Customers asked to conserve power

HUBBARD — The Hubbard Electric Department is asking customers to practice energy efficiency to help keep energy usage down during the hot weather.

The department is asking customer to shift all non-essential household and business energy use to early in the morning or later in the evening. Customers running air conditioning are asked to be conscious of the cooling settings and keep doors, windows and blinds closed.

Non-essential lights should also be turned off, especially when not in a room.
