Bid won for fire station project

SOUTHINGTON — Township trustees at a recent special meeting approved a contract for $74,000 with Mid State Restoration for fire station repairs.

Baker, Bednar and Snyder, an engineering firm, reviewed two bids received for the fire department renovation project.

Officials said the work is to repair lintels, a supporting structure found above doors and windows, at the fire station on state Route 305

The township plans to repair the two doors on the south end during phase one and three on the north end for phases two and three, including the ambulance door.
