Niles School District updates food service
NILES — In an effort to keep families safe, Niles City Schools is adjusting their lunch distribution 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesdays at the board office, 309 N. Rhodes Ave.
Families will be able to pick up five days of food per child starting Wednesday. Distribution will continue through April, including April 15, which is during the district’s previously scheduled spring break. Online instruction will resume April 20.
Going forward, board offices will be open 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.Wednesdays.
Instructional packets for grades K-8 will be placed on the district website by Monday. Families who need hard copies can collect the packets Wednesday at the board office during hours of operation. Parents also may drop off completed school work on Wednesday, but there will be another opportunity to do so.
Students in grades six to 12 should continue to check their student email and Google classrooms for lessons.
