Warren man assaulted inside his apartment by men looking for money

WARREN — A Kenilworth Avenue resident told police he was assaulted by three black men who went to his apartment to obtain cash from him.

Trevor A. Damron, 23, was at his apartment about 9:54 p.m. Monday when three men called him outside to get money needed to obtain bail for a person known by him, according to a police report. When Damron went back inside, the three men forced their way into the apartment and twice punched him in the face.

When Tamron’s girlfriend called 911, the men fled the scene in a dark-colored vehicle, according to the report. Police found the front windshield of Damron’s white Chevrolet S10 truck smashed.

One of the men involved with the assault is described as a tall balck male with short dreadlocks, a blue shirt and blue shorts, the report states. A second suspect was described as having a lighter skin tone and wearing a beanie-type cap.

Police are still investigating.
