WHAT: Township trustee meeting Tuesday

PRESENT: Steve Gerberry, Marvin McBride and Rich Harkins


• Recognized the Mineral Ridge Church of Christ for its 150th anniversary this year. Pastor Ronald Blakeman and other members of the church attended the meeting;

• Approved the purchase of a 2020 Ford Police Interceptor F-150 vehicle through Klaben Ford of Warren at $34,438, which is below state purchasing price;

• Entered into an agreement with Hudson Radio of Ashtabula for purchase and installation of equipment for the new police vehicle at a cost not to exceed $15,000 and agreement with Inventive Designs of Mineral Ridge for purchase and installation of graphics for the vehicle not to exceed $1,600;

• Renewed annual service agreement with Mahoning Valley Crisis Response Team and to contribute $2,000. The fee is paid by all the law enforcement agencies within the response area;

• Heard from Nick Coggins, assistant director of the Trumbull County Planning Commission, who recognized Township Administrator David Rouan for his service on the planning commission board;

• Hired Michael Chambers and Trenton Zickefooze as probationary firefighters and Vivian Nash, Jordan Elswick, Jackson Lambert, Kassidy Weimer, Madison Herbert and Cassidy Claar as junior firefighters;

• Accepted resignations of Bryan Butto and Anthony Fairbanks as firefighters because of commitments with other jobs;

• Set spring cleanup for the week of May 11.
