McDonald board OKs contract

McDONALD — The McDonald Board of Education on Wednesday approved a new three-year contract with the district’s 22 nonteaching staff.

Superintendent Kevin O’Connell said the contract, which is retroactive to Sept. 1, 2019, runs through Aug. 31, 2022, and grants a 2.5 percent pay increase in each year of the agreement,

Treasurer Megan Titus said the pay increases for custodians, bus drivers, secretaries and cafeteria workers will cost the district approximately $58,000 over three years.
