Police academy applications sought
WARREN — The Warren Police Department is accepting applications for the Citizens Police Awareness Academy Training.
It is a six-week, one-day-per-week course designed to give a behind-the-scenes look into the day-to-day operations of law enforcement to Trumbull County residents.
The course was introduced in Warren in 2010 by the Department of Justice’s Weed and Seed program. Since then, the Warren Police Department adopted the curriculum and has continued the training to area residents. Applications can be downloaded from the city’s website: www.warren.org. Applications also may be picked up at the police department’s records office, 141 South St., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
