YARS seeks donations for expecting families

VIENNA — The Youngstown Air Reserve Station’s 910th Airlift Wing is calling for donations for expecting families.

Operation Baby Bundle kicks off Monday and will run through Dec. 5 to benefit the 18 Air Force Reserve families who are expecting babies in the next few months.

The 910th Airlift Wing says the goal of the mission is to supply new baby items like baby seats, clothing, pacifiers and more to benefit families of Air Force Reserve members stationed at the base.

Items can be dropped off at four locations: St. Joseph Hospital, 667 Eastland Ave., Warren; Children Services, 2282 Reeves Road, Warren; Red Cross, 3530 Belmont Ave. #7, Youngstown; and Warren-Trumbull County Public Library branches in Warren, Cortland, Howland and Lordstown. Financial donations can be taken to Once Upon a Child at the Eastwood Mall complex in Niles.

The donated items will be distributed to the families at an installation baby shower on Dec. 7.
