Three in custody after Niles assault

NILES — Three people are in custody on charges of felonious assault after a woman told police she was beaten by the trio and kicked out of the Royal Mall apartment where she was staying, according to a police report.

Nadine Marie Neer, 21, of Sharon, Pa.; Matthew N. Lucik, 28, of Royal Mall Drive; and Francheska A. Verrill, 26, also of Royal Mall Drive, were arrested on charges of felonious assault Monday after they were accused of beating up a woman who was staying with them.

An officer described the woman as having fresh bruising, swelling and dried blood around her nose and eyes. The woman told the police all three people assaulted her with fists and their feet.

Neer is being held at the Trumbull County Jail on a $25,000 bond. Lucik, who is also charged with domestic violence, is being held on $10,000 and $50,000 bonds. Verrill was released from the jail on Tuesday, according to jail records.
