WHAT: Township trustees meeting Monday night

PRESENT: Arnie Clebone, Greg Cizmar and Jodi Stoyak


• Announced that Santa will be visiting the administration building at 2 p.m. Dec. 8;

l Announced the police department will collect noperishable food items, hygiene products and cash donations at its Fill-A-Cruiser event from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Giant Eagle on Belmont Avenue. Items collected will benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank;

• Approved to continue the township’s membership in the Coalition of Large Ohio Urban Townships;

• Approved a resolution authorizing the township Administrator Martha Weirick to prepare and submit an application to the Ohio Public Works Commission State Capital Improvement and / or Local Transportation Improvement Programs. These would help to resurface township roads as well as help other township needs;

• Addressed the accident that killed a pedestrian on Belmont Avenue on Oct. 31. In addition to the Belmont Corridor Plan, the trustees have started making arrangements to add more signage and lighting to that area to increase safety.
