Warren resident robbed of $100
WARREN — A 38-year-old city man who stopped at the Fast Fuel gas station, 1514 Parkman Road, at 4:16 a.m. Monday reported being robbed of $100 by a man who hid in the back seat of his GMC Suburban when he went inside to retrieve change.
When the robbery victim pulled onto Parkman Road, the assailant lifted his head from the rear seat, pointed a gun at him, demanded he turn onto Parkwood Drive and then give him money, according to the police report. The driver reached into his pocket, retrieved two $50 bills and gave them to the robber, who demanded more.
The driver pulled out several singles, which caused the robber to exclaim, “Is that all?” He threw the singles back at the driver, jumped out of the vehicle and ran back toward the gas station.
He was described as a short, stocky male with a red hoodie and dark jeans. The weapon was a dark-colored handgun.
