Pointing gun leads to charges
WARREN — Shannon Foster, 33 of Dana Street NE, pleaded not guilty charges of aggravated menacing and possessing drug paraphernalia Monday after a Newton Falls woman showed police a cellphone video of someone pointing a gun at her Saturday afternoon from a vehicle.
Police observed Foster in a car on the ramp behind the police station and a dispute going on between her and two people in a pickup truck on the ramp at 5 p.m. The ramp is for police vehicles only.
Foster told police she is in a relationship with a Warren man whom she saw riding around in a pickup with another woman. Foster told police she followed them and has a conceal and carry license. The video showed the woman holding a firearm with her left hand out of the driver’s window and pointing it at the truck, a police report states.
Foster was taken to jail. Officers found a plastic straw and a dosage unit of un-known medication in Foster’s vehicle, the report states. She was released from the jail after posting $1,000 bond, according to a jail record.
