Man accused of threatening ‘bloodbath’

WARREN — A Youngstown resident who is accused of threatening to create a “bloodbath” at Trumbull Regional Medical Center awaits arraignment today in Warren Municipal Court on charges of criminal trespassing and menacing.

Albert J. Stefek, 48, 261 E. Wood St., Youngstown, is accused of making threats 5 a.m. Monday against a doctor and the hospital’s nursing staff after refusing to leave the hospital after being discharged, according to a police report.

When a police officer attempted to remove Stefek from the hospital, he stated he was not leaving and the officer would have to arrest him, according to the report.

Stefek then told the officer if he was removed from the property, he would return and create a “bloodbath” in the emergency room — and he would kill the doctor who had treated him, according to the police report.

He was charged with the two misdemeanor counts and taken to the Trumbull County jail.
