Man charged with threatening police on Facebook page

WARREN — A man accused of posting two threats against police officers on the website “Warren’s Real Breaking News” pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor charges of aggravated menacing and telecommunication harassment.

Edward Killingworth Jr., 26, of 800 Maple St. SW, had a jail arraignment Wednesday before municipal Judge Terry Ivanchak.

Killingworth is reported to have posted: “I think a cop needs killed around here …” and “… more cops need shot dead. They kill us, we kill them, simple.”

Warren police Detective John Greaver noted on a police report that he noticed Killingworth also mentioned on the Facebook page shooting other people.

Kilingworth is being held without bond due to concern about public safety, according to court records. His next court hearing is scheduled for Oct. 1 before municipal Court Judget Thomas Gysegem.

Killingworth said he represents himself.

He was arrested without incident in the parking lot of the Warren Police Department after going there to meet his probation officer, according to a police report.
