Tiger Town work to begin this week
HOWLAND — The first phase of the new Tiger Town play area is set to begin later this week at the main Howland Township Park, weather permitting.
Park Board Chairman Shawn Pompelia said Sunday ParkPlay Solutions, which is finishing a project at Cleveland Metroparks, has staked the planned location for the new Tiger Town and plans to install playground equipment and rubberized surface starting this month.
The park board at its August meeting also approved a bid of Warren Paint and Powerwash at $3,100 to paint the inside, outside and restrooms at the Wright Building at the main park.
Pompelia said a new sign also was installed at the Bolindale Park garden area.
