Police ask for help to find gunman

Police are asking for help in finding the gunman who shot a motorist early Thursday.

When police responded to call for a single-car crash about 12:30 a.m. at North Park Avenue and Courthouse Square, they found that the driver, Kasmond Parker, 32, of Oak Street SW, Warren, had been shot multiple times. He was taken to Trumbull Regional Medical Center. Police said they talked with him but he was uncooperative.

Someone who called 911 reported seeing a man shoot Parker, grab items from the trunk of the car and run before Parker drove away. Another caller reported seeing the gunman a few block north at Save-A-Lot grocery at North Park and Atlantic Street. Police searched but could not find the shooter.

Anyone with any information about the shootings is asked to contact Detective Wayne Mackey at the police department, 330-841-2684.
