Bond set at $1 million for accused robber
WARREN — The man accused of attempting to rob the Home Savings bank on Belmont Avenue in Liberty on July 25 pleaded not guilty during an arraignment Tuesday before Trumbull County Common Pleas Judge Andrew Logan.
Dabraylin T. Hawkins, 23, of 64 Duncan Lane, Youngstown, was indicted last week on charges of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon, felonious assault with a deadly weapon, tampering with evidence and carrying a concealed weapon. Hawkins was assigned a $1 million bond, court records show.
He also is facing federal bank robbery charges in connection with the robbery.
Hawkins was shot twice by an off-duty police officer during the robbery attempt and also shot himself once, police said. He was arrested in the parking lot of Jimmy’s Italian Specialties a few blocks south of the bank.
