Arraignment set for Boardman man

YOUNGSTOWN — Justin Olsen, 18, of Boardman, accused of making online threats against federal officers, is set to be arraigned 1:30 p.m. Friday in Youngstown Northern District of Ohio in front of Magistrate Judge George J. Limbert.

Olsen was indicted earlier this week on charges of threatening to assault and abet others to assault federal law enforcement officers engaged in the performance of official duties and making interstate threats.

Prosecutors say Olsen, as user name ArmyOfChrist on social media site iFunny.com, commented on a post criticizing the Waco siege, “In conclusion, shoot every federal agent on sight.” Olsen also reportedly posted threats against Planned Parenthood and told followers to stock up on weapons that the government might ban.

Olsen has been in federal custody since Aug. 16, when Limbert ruled that Olsen posed “a serious risk of danger to the safety of the community if he is released.”
