Warren man charged in knife attack
WARREN — A man pleaded not guilty Monday to a charge of felonious assault in Warren Municipal Court after a man was stabbed, according to police and court records.
Eric A. Jackson, 49, Longfellow Court, Warren, was arrested just after 2 a.m. Saturday after Michael Lahey, 37, Southern Boulevard, was found covered in blood on the porch of 1006 Lovers Lane with a stab wound to his side, according to a police report.
Jackson is being held in the Trumbull County Jail on a $35,000 bond and is scheduled to appear Monday before Municipal Judge Terry F. Ivanchak, according to court and jail records.
Lahey was transported to Trumbull Regional Medical Center.
Jackson told police officers he was defending himself, according to a police report. He had an injured ankle.
