Warren fire displaces one adult, four kids
WARREN — City fire crews battled a blaze at 1501 Jefferson St. SW at 12:21 a.m. Tuesday that displaced a family of five.
Firefighters from all three stations were sent to the house fire, which destroyed the interior of the single-story, single-family home. The family of one adult and four children was already outside when firefighters arrived.
Red Cross officials were called to help the family find temporary accommodations and provide emergency supplies. The fire department was at the scene until just before 4 a.m.
Fire Chief Ken Nussle said there have been 34 structure fires and 17 vehicle fires in Warren since the beginning of the year.
The department is investigating the cause of Tuesday’s fire.
