Two men accused of local burglary

WARREN — Two men arrested by police just after 3 a.m. Monday, pleaded not guilty to charges of breaking and entering, tampering with evidence and possession of criminal tools later on Monday when they were arraigned in Warren Municipal Court.

Larry A. Mchellon, 32, and Jamarious R. Abrams, 23, both of Youngstown, pleaded not guilty before Judge Terry Ivanchak on the felonies and are scheduled to appear Aug. 1 for a pretrial hearing, according to court records. Each were assigned a $20,000 bond.

The two men were taken into custody in the driveway of 506 Willard Ave. SE, after an officer approached them because they matched the description of two men who broke into a garage at 408 Hazelwoood Ave., according to police records. A box of miscellaneous tools has taken, a report states. Police reported one of the men brought a hammer into the cruiser.
