Pregnant woman assaulted in home

WARREN — A pregnant woman told police she was knocked to the ground and kicked in the back and the side of her stomach by a man she knows after he learned she did not want to be with him.

The mother of five told police that while she was on the ground being kicked, her oldest son stepped between them and tried to stop the man from assaulting her, according to a police report.

At that point, the man began to attack the 18-year-old. The man pulled a gun, pointed it at the teen and stated he would kill him, the police report states. The man then walked out of the residence.

The woman, 33, and her son went to Trumbull Regional Medical Center to be examined for their injuries.

No arrest has been made.
