WHAT: Board of education meeting Wednesday

PRESENT: Tarin Brown, Michell Garman, Tom Gifford and Jim Pegg

ABSENT: Rex Rager

The board:

• Approved disposing of obsolete equipment including 22 Gateway computers and four Epson projectors in compliance with Ohio Revised Code;

• Approved a change fund for the athletic director in the amount of $1,000 and for the food service supervisor in the amount of $100 to be used throughout the 2019-20 school year;

• Approved the resignation of Paula Nowery, food services supervisor, effective immediately;

• Approved hiring Jake Umbrazun as assistant band director for the 2019-20 school year at a rate of $1,000;

• Approved the continuation of the district’s involvement in the Federal Free and Reduced Price Lunch Program for the 2019-20 school year;

• Approved a one-year fleet management agreement with Bennett’s Office Products for maintenance of the HP printers to be billed monthly per print for black-and-white and color;

• Approved keeping class fees for grades 9-12 the same at $10 per year;

• Approved the $9,029 quote from Renaissance Learning to provide online learning software subscription renewals at Currie Elementary and Baker Elementary for the 2019-20 school year;

• Approved the $4,979 quote from Executive Landscaping for the installation of drain lines at Mathews High School;

• Approved the $10,350 quote from Carl’s Paving, Inc. for the repair of the 3,000-square-foot parking lot at Baker Elementary School.
