WHAT: Board of Education meeting Monday

The board:

• Selected Guarantee Life Insurance Company as the provider for student accident insurance during the 2019-20 school year, at no cost to the district;

• Agreed to purchase two 71-passenger conventional school bus chassis and bodies from bids received through the Ohio Schools Council April 11;

• Approved the amended contracts of Michael Butch Jr. and Donald Cheffo;

• Approved the technology substitute supplemental contract with William Green at a rate of $10 per hour not to exceed 200 hours;

• Accepted the resignation of Akesha Joseph, lead high school principal, effective July 31;

• Approved 8.66 additional days of work for Akesha Joseph during July for transitional purposes;

• Entered a one-year administrative contract with Debra A. Mettee, assistant superintendent for human resources and staff development, effective Aug. 1;

• Approved additional hours for John Sipusic to provide EMIS training and final 2018-2019 EMIS reporting on an as-needed basis at a rate of $35 per hour not to exceed 80 hours through Dec. 31;

• Entered a one-year contract to Beth Russell, assistant to the treasurer, effective July 1, to be paid at step four of the administrative salary schedule with applicable retirement contributions pickup;

• Entered a one-year contract with Sheri Noble as an administrative assistant to the superintendent, effective Aug. 1, to be paid at step four of the administrative salary schedule with applicable retirement contributions pick-up;

• Hired Peyton Menosky, eighth-grade language arts teacher, on a one-year contract, effective July 1;

• Accepted the resignation of Joyce Blythe, high school English teacher, effective Aug. 31;

• Accepted the resignation of maintenance worker Jeff Kraynak, effective July 31;

• Hired Lori Fabian as an intervention aide for the 2019-20 school year, effective Aug. 1;

• Approved a supplemental contract for Eric Buckingham, athletic director, for the 2019-20 school year;

• Accepted the resignation of Rebecca Dangerfield, assistant band director, effective July 18;

• Approved a supplemental contract for Anthony Bonamase, assistant band director, for the 2019-20 school year;

• Scheduled the next regular meeting 5 p.m. Aug. 26.
