WHAT: Township park board meeting Friday

PRESENT: Jessica Gault and Allen Seman

ABSENT: Shawn Pompelia

The board:

• Approved rules and guidelines and an application process to use and have a plot at the new community garden with raised beds at Bolindale DeForest Park. The garden was officially dedicated last month;

• Reported work should begin within the next two weeks on construction of the new Tiger Town play area near the entrance of the main township park;

• Reported Vasco Asphalt will fill in cracks at the tennis courts at the main park starting in August;

• Announced the Following June concert that was canceled because of rain has been rescheduled for 6 p.m. Aug. 4 at the main park.
