Man pleads not guilty to vehicular homicide charge

WARREN — A man pleaded not guilty in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court to charges of aggravated vehicular homicide, aggravated vehicular assault and operating a vehicle while intoxicated, according to court records.

Kyle Munson, 30, North River Road NE, entered the plea Wednesday. He is free on a $20,000 bond, according to court and jail records.

Munson failed physical sobriety tests conducted by the patrol and his blood alcohol content was .166 after the 2:13 p.m. April 19 crash, according to the crash report. The legal limit for driving in Ohio is .08.

Munson crossed the center line on North River Road near Commonwealth Avenue in his 2007 Mitsubishi pickup truck, hitting head-on a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze driven by Betty Geiwitz, 75, Durst Colebrook, North Bloomfield, according to the crash report.

Annette Maraczi, 68, Edgewater Drive, Mecca, a passenger in Geiwitz’s vehicle, died April 26 at University Hospital in Cleveland.

Munson was indicted on the charges June 26, court records show.
