Man pleads not guilty to burglary
WARREN — A man accused of attempting to break into an occupied home on Parkman Road NW at 4 a.m. Wednesday pleaded not guilty to a felony burglary charge during an arraignment before Warren Municipal Court Judge Terry Ivanchak.
Gerry D. Albers, 64, 321 Tod Ave. NW, was identified as a suspect who attempted to climb into a window at the Parkman Road house before he was noticed by the resident, according to a police report.
Albers was assigned a $25,000 bond and is required to return for a preliminary hearing before Ivanchak on July 25, court records show. He remained at the Trumbull County Jail Wednesday night.
The resident described the burglar as an older male with long shoulder length hair dressed in a grey top and grey shorts. After running away, the suspect, later identified as Albers, was seen walking toward the Red and White grocery store at Parkman Road and Market Street, the police report states.
