Fatal Monday crash caused by blown tire
VIENNA — The Monday afternoon crash on state Route 11 that led to the death of Roy C. Duncan, 60, of Lake Milton, was caused by a blown-out tire, according to the Warren post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The blown-out tire caused Duncan to lose control and his commercial truck went off the left side of the road about a half mile south of the Tibbetts Wick Road exit. Duncan struck a bridge abutment and the truck overturned onto its roof.
The northbound lanes of state Route 11 were closed for about an hour following the 2:17 p.m. crash, backing up traffic for several miles.
