Pills missing from healthcare center

WARREN — A regional director of nursing at Signature Healthcare of Warren, 2473 North Road, reported that between 120 and 240 Oxycodone pills were stolen from a double-locked station at the facility to which only nurses have access.

The thefts are believed to have taken place between April 25 and Wednesday, according to Joseph D. Reising, the regional director of nursing.

There is no surveillance camera footage of the theft, according to a police report.

An incident report has been submitted to the Ohio Department of Health and the Ohio Board of Nursing, according to the report. The hospital first became aware of the missing pills on June 13, according to the report.
