WHAT: Township trustee special meeting Thursday

PRESENT: Rex Fee, Brian Bugos and Doug Emerine

• Gave second reading to placing a 0.5-mill, five-year police renewal levy on the November ballot to raise $60,819 annually for day-to-day needs of the police department;

• Officially acquired ownership of the former Central School property off state Route 45. Fee said the township will require any soccer leagues or other groups who use the property to fill out a facility use agreement and hold harmless liability form;

• Discussed the money the township receives from the FirstEnergy agreement based on households serviced by the company and which fund it should be placed in. In 2018, the township received $13,390 and in 2019, it received $13,485. Bugos made a motion the money be placed in a park fund, but did not receive a second. Fee said the money will be placed in the general fund.
