Woman robbed while walking

WARREN — A woman walking to her home at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday was robbed by a man who pointed a small black gun at her, demanding whatever cash she had on her person, according to a police report.

Na’Kiayha L. Warfield, 21, told police she was walking on Adelaide Avenue SE from a gas station when she was approached by a man wearing black clothing and a mask. When she refused to give up her belongings, the suspect put away the gun and pulled out what was described as a sharp object, the police report states.

Warfield and the robber struggled until they fell to the ground and her face and jacket were cut. The man took $60 and ran away, the report states.

Although her jacket was cut, police did not report any visible injuries to Warfield, according to the police report. She told officers she could not identify the robber.
