Teen arrested for assaulting sister

WARREN — A 16-year-old was taken to the Trumbull County Juvenile Justice Center Friday afternoon after police said he kicked his 12-year-old sister in the stomach and then tried to start a fire next to their garage.

Officers went to the home on three different occasions during a two-hour period, the report states. The teen was not arrested on the first two calls because police judged he didn’t do anything criminal.

His mother then sent him to a friend’s home, the report states, but he kept returning to their house.

Before the last police call, the teen allegedly damaged the wooden fence outside their home, destroyed some property inside the home and threatened his mother in addition to kicking his sister, the report states. The teen was held in JJC over the weekend, the report states.
