Judge continues bond for man accused of shooting into UAL bar

WARREN — The man accused of shooting into the University at Larchmont tavern earlier this month pleaded not guilty Friday to 17 charges connected to the drive-by and the aggravated robbery of a gas station.

Ryan Rulong, 27, with addresses in Warren and Girard, is facing eight charges each of felonious assault and attempted murder and one charge of aggravated robbery. Trumbull County Common Pleas Court Judge Peter J. Kontos continued his bond at $750,000. Rulong is being held in the Trumbull County Jail. He was arrested May 14 after the True North gas station in Howland was robbed at gunpoint and Howland police pulled over a pickup truck that matched the description of the getaway vehicle.

Three people were injured May 10 when eight shots were fired at the UAL.
