Teen held after hiding suspected drugs

WARREN — A 15-year-old arrested on charges of trespassing, criminal damaging and drug trafficking was placed in the Trumbull County Juvenile Justice facility in a cell without running water Monday afternoon because police believe he placed an unidentified object in a body cavity and refused to cooperate with efforts to retrieve it.

Timothy Williams II, 15, 543 Parkman Road NW, was arrested after a clerk at Dawlah Market, 1104 Palmyra Road SW, locked him inside the store shortly after 4 p.m., after repeatedly asking him to leave due to his belief the teen had stolen from the store on previous occasions, according to a police report.

Williams refused to leave the store, so the clerk locked the doors and called police. Williams then began to yell and hit the glass door with a rack multiple times, the police report states.

When officers began to collect Williams’ belongings during his arrest, they found a shoe box in his bag that contained a digital scale and six sandwich bags each containing one ounce of marijuana.

After police arrived at the Trumbull Juvenile Justice Center, an officer found two baggies of marijuana in his right front pants pocket, according to the police report. The marijuana, according to the officer, was not in his pocket at the time of his arrest at the store.

After reviewing the car’s mobile video recorder, officers saw Williams moving the small baggies of marijuana from inside his pants to his right pocket. The video also showed Williams placing something inside his body cavity, the report states.

Obtaining a search warrant, police took Williams to St. Joseph Warren Hospital in an effort to obtain the item. His body cavity was x-rayed, but nothing conclusive was found. A doctor tried to convince Williams to drink a liquid that would eject whatever was in his body cavity, but Williams refused to drink it, the report states.

He was taken to the JJC and placed in a cell without water to prevent flushing of the evidence, according to the report.
