Newton Township planning committee to meet with YSU
NEWTON TOWNSHIP — The Newton Township Comprehensive Plan Committee will meet 6 p.m. Thursday with representatives of Youngstown State University at the township administration building to discuss recent community input on the comprehensive plan and finalize information for proposed land use maps.
The township has never had its own comprehensive plan, but was included in a western Trumbull plan for several communities completed 10 years ago.
Last year, trustees formed a citizens committee to work with the YSU Center for Urban and Regional Studies to create a comprehensive plan for the community. The cost of the agreement with YSU was not to exceed $15,000.
