NEO gas prices nearing $2 mark
WARREN — Heading into the final few days of 2018, gas prices in northeast Ohio are nearing or below the $2 mark, according to AAA East Central’s Gas Price Report.
In the Warren-Youngstown area on Thursday, the cost of a regular gallon of gasoline averaged $2.03, according to AAA. In Niles, the price averaged $1.89. Across northeast Ohio, the per-gallon cost averaged $2.01. In comparison, the average price in northeast Ohio the week of Dec. 17 was $2.05 and year-over-year, $2.40.
The national average for regular unleaded gasoline is $2.30 per gallon, which is 6 cents less than one week ago, 24 cents less than one month ago and 16 cents less than at the same time last year.
