Council:
• Heard from Chelsea Harper, manager of UHA Hardware, about an 800-gallon propane tank that will need to be moved because a nearby bridge is being replaced in 2019. She received a letter from the Ohio Department of Transportation about the tank. The road where the bridge starts is being widened and a guardrail is being installed. Harper was advised to take the matter to the zoning board;
• Heard from Waddell there is a need to work on a five-year plan for economic development to help bring jobs to the area and also applying for grants. The Youngstown Warren Regional Chamber would help with economic development. Waddell discussed having guidelines in place on locations where wireless cell towers can be placed;
• Announced a “Fill a Cruiser” fundraiser will be Nov. 17 by the municipal building to help collect canned goods and non-perishable items for needy families for the holidays.
