On the record – Bristol

WHAT: Township trustee meeting Tuesday

PRESENT: Ramon French and Mark Webb

ABSENT: Doug Seemann

• Approved a request by the Ohio State University Extension office to use the town hall next spring for an agronomy program for area crop farmers;

• Reported the township is reviewing options on the recycling bins by town hall as there are five bins that are filling up quickly. Webb said they may check to see if the bins can be emptied more often or if a sixth bin can be added. Other communities have removed recycling bins this year because of people not following guidelines and placing non-recyclable items inside;

• Reported there has been increased patrols by the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office in recent weeks after trustees requested more presence because of ATVs on the roads, mostly in the Fenton Road area;

• Heard from residents about problems with flooding on Mahan-Denman Road. Webb said they will see what temporary work can be done first and then what other work could be done in the future to address the problem;

• Reported plans are to complete the two veterans memorials at Evergreen and Sager cemeteries for Memorial Day 2019.
