Bar poll shows backing in races

WARREN — A poll of Trumbull County attorneys shows the majority of lawyers in the county would like to see Samuel Bluedorn, Darya Klammer and Mary Jane Trapp elected in the judge races for which they are running in November.

Bluedorn, who won the Democratic primary in May, is facing off against Sarah Thomas Kovoor, who won the Republican primary, for the position of judge in the Trumbull County Common Pleas Court Domestic / Juvenile division.

Klammer is running against Matt Lynch for judge in the 11th District Court of Appeals with a term beginning Feb. 9. Lynch beat out Judge Colleen Mary O’Toole in the Republican primary.

Trapp, who won the Democratic primary, is facing off against Republican Casey O’Brien for the term beginning Feb. 10 in the 11th District Court of Appeals. Judge Diane V. Grendell is retiring from the position.
