Police investigate man shot at Highland Avenue and Second Street

WARREN — Police have “several good leads” after a man was shot around 3:20 a.m. Friday at the corner of Second Street SW and Highland Avenue SW, Warren police Lt. Martin Gargas said.

Officers on patrol heard five to seven gun shots before a woman called to report she was on the phone with her boyfriend, Jerrice Davis, 26, Warren, when he was shot and their call was disconnected, a police report states. Davis was found on High Street NE, but wasn’t shot there.

Gargas said Warren detectives are investigating. He did not say where Davis was shot or his condition.
