WARREN — A woman told police she was robbed of $700 Wednesday as she stopped at the intersection of Vine Avenue and Washington Street NE.

According to a Warren police report, an unknown black man reached in, unlocked the door and jumped into the passenger side of the woman’s Ford Escape. She said the man pointed a small black handgun and said “give me what you got.”

The man then dumped her purse’s contents about the car’s interior and then grabbed at her jacket and punched her in the stomach, the report states. The woman tried to hide a wad of money under her shirt, but the report states he made off with about $700 in cash.

The man, who was described in his early 20s, wore a black hoodie and black pants with a black and white handkerchief pulled over his face. He ran toward the Circle K at Washington and North Park Avenue, the report states.
