Warren man guilty of gun charge, DUI
WARREN — A Warren man pleaded guilty Wednesday to a bill of information charging him with carrying a concealed weapon.
Michael J. Chizmar Jr., 23, 1653 Cranberry Lane NE, was charged in connection to a Jan. 29 traffic stop on Churchill Road in Liberty Township in which police found a loaded Glock .40-caliber pistol around his waistband, according to assistant prosecutor Diane Barber.
Chizmar, who also was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence, later told a nurse at St. Joseph Warren Hospital that he had taken 12 percoset tablets. Barber said he was later revived with Narcan.
Trumbull County Common Pleas Judge W. Wyatt McKay will sentence Chizmar after he undergoes a background report compiled by the Adult Probation Department.
