Masury man held after shots are fired

BROOKFIELD – A Masury man will be arraigned Thursday in Trumbull County Eastern District Court on two misdemeanor charges after he was accused of firing more than 30 gunshots in his neighborhood – drawing response from six law enforcement agencies.

Lance Schell Jr., 44 of Lorain Street, is charged with inducing panic and disorderly conduct.

Trumbull County jail records show he was taken into custody about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, after 911 dispatchers received several calls about shots being fired in the Masury neighborhood about 9 p.m.

Authorities narrowed the search to the 8100 block of Lorain Street after neighbors reported a flash of light being seen at the back of one of the homes.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Schell was still in custody, jail records show.
