Motorcyclist dies after crash at East Market and Laird

WARREN — The motorcyclist who was a victim of an earlier hit-skip accident on Thursday afternoon died of his injuries, according to a spokeswoman for Trumbull County Coroner Dr. Lawrence D’Amico.

Police are continuing to look for the driver involved in the hit / skip accident that occurred about 4:15 p.m. Thursday at the corner of East Market Street and Laird Avenue. Trumbull County 911 reports a motorcyclist was given CPR on the scene as a white Jeep Cherokee was seen speeding north on Bonnie Brae Avenue NE toward Elm Road.

Coroner investigator Kathy Meszaros said the victim, whose identity is pending notification of relatives, died later Thursday. An autopsy was performed on the motorcyclist on Friday, Meszaros said.

Police are still searching for the driver of the Jeep Cherokee, reports state.
