Drugs, guns, seized from Masury home

BROOKFIELD — Brookfield Township police seized suspected methamphetamine, drug abuse instruments and two handguns during a search of 8118 Diamond St., Masury, around 10 a.m. Thursday morning.

The Brookfield Police Department received complaints about drug activity at the house and opened an investigation, according to police Chief Dan Faustino.

“You know, we work hard to get the investigations completed,” Faustino said. “This one they did a good job and were able to get this addressed in a shorter period of time.”

Brookfield was assisted by the Trumbull County Sheriff’s Office, TAG Drug Task Force, and the Trumbull County Health Department and Trumbull County Children’s Services, which were called due to the condition of the house, according to a Facebook post from Brookfield Township Police.

Criminal charges are pending further investigation and analysis of the suspected drugs collected, according to the post.
