Tue. 10:40 a.m.: Perkinswood woman injured in dog attack

WARREN ä A Perkinswood Avenue SE woman reported to police she broke her hip when a Husky dog charged from across the street and the woman fell.

The report was made to police at 12:30 p.m. Monday. The incident occurred July 5.

The woman, 66, told officers she was in her yard with two of her dogs when the mixed-breed Husky came upon them. She was transported to Trumbull Regional Medical Center.

The Huskyás owner, Koree McLennan, 44, is charged with the minor misdemeanor of allowing dogs to run at large. She will appear for a preliminary hearing Aug. 27 before Municipal Judge Thomas Gysegem.

McLennan said her 18-pound dog ran across to play with the other dogs, and the woman who was injured got tangled in the leashes and fell.
