Trumbull courthouse locked down briefly

WARREN – The Trumbull County Courthouse was locked down for a few minutes this afternoon as Warren police investigated the report of a man with a gun near the Riverwalk path around the Log Cabin at Warren’s Courthouse Square.

According to Warren police Capt. Jeff Cole, the report that came to Trumbull County 911 at 1:13 p.m. was unfounded after police cruisers responded to the area.

Someone reported that a man in his 60s with black sunglasses and a Pittsburgh hat had placed a gun and left it on one of the tables in the area.

The courthouse was back open by 1:30 p.m., the 911 report states
