Three more COVID-19 deaths reported today in area

There were three COVID-19 deaths were reported in the Mahoning Valley today. Two of the reported deaths were in Mahoning County with one in Trumbull County.

Overall, there have been 292 COVID-19 deaths in Valley — 188 in Mahoning, 51 in Trumbull and 53 in Columbiana counties.

There are 2,299 COVID-19 deaths in the state as of today, up from 2,258 Tuesday, according to the Ohio Department of Healthás 2 p.m. daily update. There have been 36,792 confirmed cases of the virus in Ohio today, up from 36,350 Tuesday.

There have been 1,463 confirmed cases in Mahoning County a of today, up from 1,458 Tuesday. There have been 584 confirmed cases in Trumbull County as of today, the same as Tuesday. In Columbiana County, there have been 889 confirmed cases today, up from 881 a day earlier.

Statewide, 6,251 people have been hospitalized as of today because of the virus, up from 6,176 Tuesday. Of those, 1,604 people were admitted to intensive-care units as of today, up from 1,583 Tuesday.
