Two more COVID-19 deaths in Mahoning County

There are at least 167 COVID-19 confirmed deaths in the state today, including 32 in the Mahoning Valley, according to the daily 2 p.m. update from the Ohio Department of Health.

That’s up from 142 confirmed deaths in Ohio, including 30 in the Valley Monday.

The new Valley deaths are two in Mahoning County.

There are now 19 deaths in Mahoning, tied with Cuyahoga for the most deaths in an Ohio county.

There remains eight deaths in Trumbull and five in Columbiana counties.

There are 4,782 confirmed cases of the virus in Ohio today, up from 4,450 Monday.

There are 300 cases in Mahoning County, up from 272 Monday. Mahoning has the highest per capita number of cases and deaths from the virus.

There are 110 cases in Trumbull County, up from 102 Monday.

In Columbiana County, there are 59 cases, up from 53 Monday.

Statewide, 1,354 people have been hospitalized as of today because of the virus, up from 1,214 a day earlier.

There are 417 people in intensive-care units, up from 371 Monday.
